About Us

We are the South Shore's premier indoor training and fun center, dedicated to meeting the needs of everyone that visits the CAGE. Our goal is to make every person reach the highest level of their own capabilities. By building confidence, self esteem and raising their awareness of the game, our staff will help bring your child to the next level on their journey to becoming the best that they can be. Our instructors have a high level of experience and the ability to teach at a level that makes it simple and fun for everyone.

Ken Passante: Director of Softball Operations
Coach Passante coached at the collegiate level for 13 years. In that time, he has helped guide his teams to 9 College World Series appearances, been selected to coach 3 college All-Star teams and has had 7 players pass through his teams that have gone on to play for their Countries Olympic Program. Coach Passante is currently coaching for the LI Express.

Dave Rivera: Director of Baseball Operations:
Coach Rivera played his college ball at Briarcliffe College where he helped lead the Seahawks to two straight College World Series Appearances. Dave coached in the ACBL (Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League). In 2006, as the interim Head Coach, Dave led the Briarcliffe baseball team to a USCCA College World Series Championship. Coach is currently coaching the CAGE baseball team and with the LI Express.

Shari Edwards:Director of Softball Pitching:
Coach Edwards was inducted into the Smithtown Hall of Fame as well as the Northern Illinois Hall of Fame. Coach played her college ball at the U. of Northern Illinois where she led her team to an 8th place finish at the Division 1 College World Series. Shari has studied under her father, Hofstra Head Coach Bill Edwards. You can contact our coaches at:
